A compliance officer evaluating a vendor wants to know exactly where the edges are. So here they are, including the parts that are not built yet.
What goes in
The four records everything else is built from.
TruSource holds the chain from the land to the container. Each record is entered once, by the party that actually has it.
Farms
A boundary drawn in the field by an assigned agent, or a point plus a declared area where the regulation permits one — under 4 hectares. Every version is kept.
Lots and shipments
A lot names the farms behind it and the quantity from each. A shipment carries lots to one buyer, and cannot allocate more than a lot holds.
Documents
Licences and certificates attached to a farm, lot, shipment, or organisation, with validity dates and a malware scan before the file becomes available.
Consignments
A shipment shared with a named buyer, for a set period. The buyer sees that consignment and nothing else in the workspace.
What we check
Every farm, every shipment, every time.
A self-declared polygon is a claim. Each check turns it into something a buyer can put their name to — passing, failing, or coming back not conclusive.
Geometry
The farm has a boundary or a point, the shape does not cross itself, and it sits inside the country the record gives.
Area and points
A point is only permitted below 4 hectares, and an area too small or too large catches a misplaced decimal point.
Deforestation
FAO Whisp screens the farm shape against JRC GFC2020 at the 31 December 2020 cutoff and GFW RADD for change after it. A farm nobody has examined shows not assessed, never clear.
Overlaps and quantities
No two farms in a workspace may claim the same land, and no lot may supply more than it holds.

Every market that regulates origin converges on the same two questions: where did this come from, and can you prove you checked? The answers differ — the cutoff date, the authority the operator files to, the evidence they must keep. The record does not.
Commodities
Coffee and cocoa are live. The rest is stated honestly.
We would rather name the two we run in production than list seven and let you discover which were aspirational. Adding a commodity is mostly the reference data behind it, not new machinery — the checks themselves do not change.
